Dimitris Lignadis, accused of serious acts of sexual violence, will return to Evelpidon on Wednesday after a deadline he requested and received for his apology.

The outstanding artist was transferred to the investigation office shortly before 10 in the morning, accompanied by three policemen with politicians and handcuffs, since he has been detained since last night after the arrest warrant issued against him.

The process has already begun before the judicial authorities for the artist who after apologizing for the accusation of serial violation will await the decision of the Investigator and Prosecutor who will judge based on the special characteristics of the facts and actions if he will be taken to prison. or not as a fugitive suspect. or as a suspect in the commission of new crimes.

It is recalled that there have been complaints against the director for two reasons. One of them lives abroad and reported rape when he was 14 years old in 2010 and the second is an adult today, but a minor in 2015, when he also reported rape.

However, the confirmatory testimonies of these facts were also from adults (minors at that time) who were in the company of the minor who denounced that he was raped, while the testimony of a woman who is in the environment of the famous director and that he was related to him for a long time and was able to present details of which he had knowledge to the judicial authorities.

The file according to the judicial authorities is considered “tied” while these are not limited only to the case of D. Lignadis, since there are complaints about other people in the theater.

According to the Hellenic Police, Mr. Lignadis voluntarily went to the Attica Security Directorate and was arrested by warrant.

“He denies everything that is heard,” stressed Mr. Lignadis’ lawyer, Nikos Georgouleas, in his statements to journalists outside GADA. “Once the arrest warrant was issued, he came voluntarily, there is no question that he is hiding or running away,” he said, noting that his client was not wanted. It revealed that Mr. Lignadis had been in Athens all this time and that this had been notified to the competent authorities.

“Mr. Lignadis is honest, sincere and with organized thinking. He came immediately to GADA, he has very good cooperation, we are proceeding with the legal process,” he added.
