An arrest warrant was issued against the actor and director and he is now in custody, according to information from ERT.
Prosecutors charged him with a felony for continued rape, according to SKAI, following confirmation of the victims’ claims through questioning of witnesses.
There are currently two cases against Dimitris Lignadis, according to SKAI. One is that of the 25-year-old who reported that she was raped at age 14 and another, which was presented to the Prosecutor’s Office in extreme secrecy. Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Dimitris Lignadis arrived at GADA accompanied by his lawyer and left shortly thereafter, as he was informed that there was no outstanding arrest warrant against him at the time.
