The law provides for a new strategy based on the cooperation of the United States with the three republics of the region, Greece, Israel and Cyprus.

“How will you continue to strengthen the investments outlined in the law and promote critical security relations with Greece and Cyprus?”

Respond Anthony Blinken: “If my appointment is ratified, I look forward to continuing to review this legislation and working with Congress and colleagues across services to support strong ties between the United States, Greece, Israel and Cyprus.

“The security relationship between the United States and Greece is important to our interests in the eastern Mediterranean and has grown significantly as bilateral relations have improved, beginning with the Obama-Biden administration.

“If my appointment is ratified, I will work to continue deepening ties between the United States and Greece, as well as Cyprus.”
