The decision stipulates that next Sunday’s operation is optional and can be opened from 11:00 in the morning.
It is recalled that consumers must send a message to 13033 with the code 2 to make their purchases, while they have two hours from the moment they receive the reply message, with the exception of hairdressers.
The 2 hour time limit for shopping applies not only to commercial stores, but also to supermarkets.
This fact stands out both for the way in which the announcement of the Ministry of Development and the JMC for the opening of the market was written, as well as for the simple fact that both for supermarkets and retail the consumer is required to send an SMS with the same. code (the number 2) and therefore it is not possible to apply different time limits for the same code.
Purchases only for 2 hours: what applies to SMS to 13033
According to the presentation of the Ministry of Development regarding the new measures, it is stated: “Duration of 2 hours during which the consumer can carry out each of his commercial transactions, with a comparative time point at the time of sending and approval of his message of trip”. 
Likewise, the JMC with the extraordinary protection measures by area of activity includes supermarkets.
This means that supermarkets are not excluded, so consumers must complete their purchases within 2 hours.
Thus, the consumer who goes to the supermarket must also save the message he sent to 13033, to prove the delivery time.
What products are back on the shelves
With the opening of the retail store on Monday, dozens of products that had been recalled during the closure were returned to the supermarket shelves so as not to create conditions of unfair competition.
In detail, the products that return to the supermarket shelves are the following:

- Telecommunications equipment (KAD 47.42)
- Audio and video equipment (KAD 47.43)
- Textiles (KAD 47.51)
- Carpets, rugs and floor and wall coverings (KAD 47.53)
- Appliances (KAD 47.54)
- Furniture, lighting, and other household items, except replacement parts (e.g. lamps), household sweepers (KAD 47.59.58.35)

- Games (KAD 47.65)

The 12 conditions to keep the market open
The Athens Chamber of Commerce summarizes the conditions that determine the proper functioning of commercial stores based on the Joint Ministerial Decision Δ1α / ΓΠ.οικ.3060 / 15-1-2021 (Government Gazette 89Β΄) published in the Official Gazette.
The JMC also formally determines the prerequisites for public health protection that will apply to retail store openings from January 18-25, 2021. 
In accordance with the provisions of the previous decision, the following will apply:
- Retail opens on Monday, January 18.
- The opening hours are optionally extended from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for all businesses.
- The maximum number of clients allowed is not 4 for the first 100 m2, regardless of the square meters, as shown in the graph of the Ministry of Development. According to the provisions of the Ministerial Decision, finally only one person is strictly allowed for every 25 m2. in the main area of the store. Auxiliary spaces, warehouses, offices and parking lots are excluded. Therefore, if a store is 48 square meters. then there is only one client in your main space, whereas if it is 70 square meters. two are allowed at the same time. These numbers apply to customers only and do not include companies or staff.
- The optional operation of stores is scheduled for Sunday, January 24, in order to make up for the loss of billing so far and in the context of discounts.
- It is mandatory that all the people in the front post in writing or digitally the maximum number of customers allowed within the store.
- The distance that will be observed between customers during the waiting time at checkout is 2 meters from each other.
- The kiosks are potentially back up to 24 hours.
- Grocery stores (supermarkets, mini-markets, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, patisseries) continue to operate, meeting the following conditions: ⇒ Hours from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
