Two explosions, one after another, occurred at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 19, around 6:20 p.m.
The explosions caused material damage, broke windows, walls, windows and doors in the surroundings, while so far there is no information on the cause or existence of injuries.
The news was known through an announcement from the local mayor, but also from an opposition deputy, however there are no further details at the moment. The attacker struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruitment center, killing at least 12 people.
Twitter video allegedly showing smoke from the explosions:
As residents of Mersin, we don’t want to experience these dangers and explosions at Nuclear Akkuyu!
If you are going nuclear, do it in a place other than Mersin, not in an earthquake zone.
