Coronavirus: 800 new cases, 362 intubated, 32 deaths

Specifically, today Saturday, January 9, EODY announced 800 news cases of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), of which eleven They were found after checks at the gates of the country.

The total number of cases is 144,293, of which 52.2% men. During the follow-up it was found that 5,598 (3.9%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 43,583 (30.2%) are related to an already known case.

362 individuals are treated intubated. Their average age is 68 years. 250 (69.1%) of those intubated are men. 85.4% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 954 patients have been discharged from the ICU since the beginning of the pandemic.

Finally, we have 32 New deaths from COVID-19 disease, reaching them 5,227 deaths in the country as a whole, of which 3,087 (59.1%) were men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.5% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

Attica is “boiling”

According to the geographical distribution of 800 new cases, Attica is in “red”, while the image in Thessaloniki is stable.

Notably, of the total of 800 new cases announced on Saturday, 290 are in Attica and 92 in Thessaloniki.
