Coronavirus: 427 new cases, 54 deaths

In 427 new cases are reported coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours, according to information from EODY.

During the same period, 54 dead, with the death toll from the pandemic reaching 5,011.

Beside, 407 are patients treated by intubation in the ICU.

Today we announce 427 new cases of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), of which 9 were identified after controls at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 140,526, of which 52.3% are men. During the follow-up, it was found that 5,478 (3.9%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,2054 (29.9%) are related to an already known case.

407 people are treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years. 268 (65.8%) of those intubated are men. 82.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 902 patients have been discharged from the ICU since the start of the pandemic.

Finally, we have 54 new deaths from COVID-19 disease, reaching 5011 deaths in total in the country, of which 2976 (59.4%) are men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.5% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
