Takis Theodorikakos saw the door to leave the government and the Interior Ministry in the reorganization carried out by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who gives his place to Makis Voridis.
In a Facebook post, the former minister thanked the people for their love and said he was proud of “creative reform work in the Interior Ministry.” In fact, he promised that he would continue fighting for the ideas of freedom, solidarity and responsible patriotism.

“Thank you so much for your support and love! Especially to the hundreds of local government executives from all over Greece who contact me today.
I am proud of the reform and creative work of the Home Office.
15 important reforms and positive changes for citizens were implemented in 18 months, strengthening trust between the citizen and the state.
The supreme achievement of all, the guarantee in practice of the voting rights of Greeks from the country in which they meet with 288 votes from the Greek parliament. Greeks united in the world!
I am deeply satisfied with my contribution to strengthening the Local Government and its social policy. For the modernization of the State and the meritocracy, in very difficult conditions.
I express my warmest wishes to colleagues who undertake it Ministry of Interior. They will have my full support to implement the rest of the reforms that we have launched.
