Two cases of coronavirus in Dubai travelers – Society

Two cases of coronavirus have so far been identified among Greeks who returned from Dubai, as a total of 337 rapid tests were performed on travelers.

This fact raised the alarm to the competent authorities, since in the next few days other Greeks who spent the holiday season in the Emirates are expected to arrive.

Both cases were transferred to their homes in Civil Protection vans and will remain in quarantine for 14 days.

It is noted that the passengers of the Dubai flight had to have mandatory negative results of a molecular test of the last 72 hours, which they will have done in Dubai and must have completed the PLF form in order to enter the Greek Territory. Any passenger who does not have this proof with him is not accepted in the country.

The next flight from Dubai to Athens that will be under the “microscope” of the Authorities is on January 6.

Concern is increased by the fact that after the New Year holidays and events, an outbreak of coronavirus cases was observed in Dubai. Notably, the United Arab Emirates yesterday registered a record of new cases for the fourth consecutive day since the pandemic began with 1,963 coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period.

Strict “reception” measures

Contrary to the dread and negative image generated by the presence of many celebrities in Dubai for a glamorous New Year’s Eve, there is the rigor of the measures that are applied to those who return to Greece.

EODY stairs were found at the airport to “welcome” travelers with a quick test, while

In particular, on Sunday morning (3/1) the first arrived at Eleftherios Venizelos airport.

“There was nothing very serious, it was very loose, all the stores were open,” a young passenger told the camera.

“People were moving freely in Dubai. They were wearing a mask, the shops were open and they were moving very well,” said another passenger.

“On the way back we had to do another PCR test for Covid-19, 72 hours before. And after we got off, the Greek side was very serious, because they checked the whole plane,” said another.

It is recalled that many Greek celebrities traveled to the cosmopolitan emirate to experience the change of time that – they believe – they deserved, staying away from what would limit them in the reality of the country. Among others, the list included: Petros Costopoulos, Katerina Lioliou, Haris Sianidis, Sofia Harmanta, Andreas and Alexandra Panagiotou, who chose the famous Nammos Dubai, in a program that included a variety of Greek artists, such as M, Antonis Dimitriadis and Vassilis Tsilichristos .

Stefanos Tsitsipas has been in Dubai to train for a long time, after all he chose another store for his entertainment, Cipriani.
