The prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into negligent bodily injury.
Four days after the five times higher dose of the wrong coronavirus vaccine was administered, the last four patients, who received prophylactic treatment, were discharged from the hospital.
Governor Stephen Curt said he was “delighted to be back home and in good health.”
Last Sunday, eight employees at a nursing home in the northeastern German city of Stralsund mistakenly received a five times larger dose of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Biontech and Pfizer. Then four of them remained in the hospital for precautionary reasons. Three left after just one night’s stay.
“Biontech sees no risk.” Already in the first phase of the investigation, higher doses of the vaccine were administered without serious consequences, “said Kert.
The prosecution, however, launched an investigation for negligent bodily injury, according to APE-MPE.
