Many people said that 2020 was a very bad year, while many others want to enter 2021 so that it does not bring better days. But 34-year-old flight attendant Keira Sandid probably confirms it more than anyone after seeing her life ruined in those 12 months.
The pregnant 34-year-old mother of two tested positive for the coronavirus, recently lost her father to the pandemic, was fired from her job and even saw her home destroyed on Christmas Day, leaving her homeless.
Keira Sadid lives in Sussex, Great Britain and according to the Daily Mail quoting her words, lived a “year of disaster”, adding that things happened between them.
She was fired from her job
After 13 consecutive years with Virgin Atlantic, Keira Sadid learned in September that she was leaving the airline and was still unemployed. The situation was not easy for her as she has two children, ages 9 and 11.
She lost her father
A week later he saw his father lose the battle with the coronavirus adding another problem to his life that was getting worse. And yet he hadn’t seen anything yet.
The coronavirus and the fire in your house
So while you are out of work, you are diagnosed positive for the coronavirus and decide to isolate yourself at home with your partner. His health was not good and he was unable to carry out daily household chores. So her partner, who had finally gotten sick too, decided to cook.
After taking the food out of the oven, he forgot to turn it off, which caused the temperature to rise. So while they both sleep, the house is full of smoke. They managed to wake up from the fumes and her partner tried to put out the oven fire by throwing a damp blanket at her. His movement, however, had no effect as the fire ignited and burned the house.
They were homeless
The result is that she and her partner are left homeless and have no one to take them in. So they went to the state to find temporary shelter for them.
This development resulted in the loss of their two children during the holidays, as they went to live with their biological father. Keira Sadid stayed on the road for a few days. and as soon as they were informed that temporary accommodation would be found, they were informed that they would have to leave their dog, but without knowing who would take it in, since according to the regulations of the new house, animals are prohibited.
“We have lost everything except the clothes we are wearing,” he said, adding that the support of the Newhaven community was “Shocking”. Many individuals and businesses have donated items to help the family and a GoFundMe page created by her sister has already raised more than 1,500 euros.
