A thriller is taking place in Thessaloniki to rescue a baby.
The baby, according to information from these days suffered airway obstruction after ingestion of a foreign body.
According to the first information, so far not confirmed, the 16 month old baby was in the apartment with his grandfather, in the Terpsithea square area, at noon on New Year’s Eve.
Just before 1 pm he probably swallowed an object, a foreign body, resulting in airway obstruction, unable to breathe and lose consciousness.
The authorities were immediately informed, and an EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene within minutes, while at the same time EL.AS. created a company to facilitate the immediate transport of the baby to the Georgios Gennimatas hospital, which is on duty.
The baby’s health status is unknown at this time, as well as the exact circumstances in which the incident occurred.
According to reports the baby’s mother rushes to the hospital in shock.
