The Christmas service in the village of Anifi in Argolida turned into a massive outbreak of coronavirus.

According to ANT1, fifteen residents of the village tested positive for the virus.

The 50-year-old priest from the local parish, who also has underlying illnesses, is being treated in the ICU at Kalamata hospital.

The priest’s elderly parents are also in the hospital with coronavirus, while four other members of his family were also diagnosed with coronavirus.

They were all at the Christmas service

After EODY’s KOMY ran a rapid test in the village, eight other residents tested positive.

Follow-up showed that those who tested positive had attended the Christmas service at the village church.

Yesterday disinfections were carried out in the churches, public and public spaces of the village, as well as in the home of the sick family.
