The government plans to make available the digital certificate of participation in vaccination against the coronavirus that will be delivered to citizens.
In mid-January, the vaccination of citizens who do not belong to the National Health System will begin and then they must be given a digital form, certification that they have been vaccinated, which will be for personal use.
As the government spokesman, Stelios Petsas, underlined, vaccination is not only a self-protection measure, but a solidarity movement, and stressed that the important thing is not the obligation of the vaccine but the motivations.
He explained, speaking with SKAI, that as soon as the second delivery is awarded, a certificate will be delivered that will also be in English.
The vaccine and the certificate
Thus, all citizens who are vaccinated against the coronavirus will receive a vaccination certificate.
Those getting vaccinated for the first time will receive a printed vaccination certificate.
Those who will receive the second dose of the vaccine, will be able to receive in digital form a vaccination certificate, which can be used for personal use and will include all the necessary information about the person vaccinated (at the time of vaccination, etc.).
The document contains the name of the citizen who made the vaccine, his AMKA, the name of the company that manufactured the vaccine, the date of his vaccination and the date of the second dose of the vaccine.
The attention of the competent authorities for the moment, however, is focused on the completion of the preparation for the possibility of issuing a digital certificate.
Planning progresses rapidly as the state must be ready and then adapt the process to the requirements of the European Union.

When does the emvolio.gov.gr platform open?
The platform for citizens to make an appointment will open at least one week in advance.
How can the citizen make an appointment?
- if you are registered in the intangible prescription you will receive an automatic message if you are in the prioritization teams for your appointment
- through the platform emvolio.gov.gr with AMKA
- from the neighborhood pharmacy or KEP
“It is very important to enroll in the intangible prescription or enroll our relatives,” said the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous.
As explained by the Secretary General of Primary Care, the Social Security Registration Number (AMKA) is necessary for the vaccination of citizens.
Therefore, as he said, those citizens who do not have AMKA, must resort to the local KEP to proceed with its immediate issuance.
