“70% of the Greek population must be vaccinated to build the wall of immunity, so that those who have not been vaccinated are safe,” said Sypsas, adding that doing so depends on two factors: “the first, whether the Greeks they will come to be vaccinated and secondly, what will be the supply of vaccines in our country ”.
“If all goes well, for the summer vulnerable groups will be vaccinated for the summer and then we will reach 70% by the end of the year, so we can have a Merry Christmas 2021,” added the member of the coronavirus committee.
“If we do not achieve 70%, the pandemic will continue to exist,” said Nikos Sypsas, noting that restrictions and lockdowns will continue. “It is very important to be able to get vaccinated faster,” added Sypsas, speaking with Mega.
At the same time, Sypsas referred to the crowded footage being recorded, expressing fears that there will be an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Attica in January. “If the rallies continue, we will have a problem in January,” he clarified.
