The bad weather that “swept” many areas of the country on Sunday continues on Monday.
Heavy rains hit the afternoon and central Athens and created minor problems on the main streets.
Intense weather events also affected Corfu in the early hours of the morning. Strong winds broke tree branches causing problems on the road network, while a tree was uprooted in the Kanoni area of the city, causing material damage to the balconies of houses.
The fire brigade was called in early in the morning for various tree felling and removal of large branches from areas of the city, but also on the island’s ring roads, while the Corfu Port Authority issued a curfew for the morning to Igoumenitsa, Lefkimmi and Paxos, for type.

In particular, in the western parts of the country, the Ionian, western Sterea and the western and southern Peloponnese, there will be light local rains.
In the rest of the eastern parts of the country there will be local clouds, with long intervals of sun in the sky, while in the islands of the Eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese there will be light rains.
In Attica, some local clouds are expected, with temperatures ranging between 9 and 16 degrees Celsius.
In Thessaloniki, there will be local rains mainly in the morning, while the temperature will vary from 7 to 14 degrees Celsius.
