ELTA Courier lifts “handbrake”, as product receptions on Monday, December 28 stop
The volume of problems that ELTA Courier faces during this period is large due to the large number of products that are called upon to deliver during the Christmas period.
As the company officially announced, the receipts end from Monday, December 28 to Friday, January 8, 2021, in order to normalize the operation of the network and return to normal hourly levels of shipments.
ELTA’s announcement in detail:
“Dear customers,
As you already know, the excessive demand for courier services during this period has created an explosive situation with difficulties and delays in the delivery of products, for the entire market. Despite the timely preparation of ELTA Courier (increase in square meters in the Classification Centers, extensive hiring of personnel, increase in the fleet, expansion of the Network with new service points, modifications in the production process to save time, new supplies , collaborations with other companies, etc.), the unprecedented conditions that have been created overload the network asymmetrically.
At this juncture, and after a greater increase in the volume of shipments handled by adverse conditions in the entire courier market, we are called to seek immediate solutions to normalize pending shipments in order to meet our commitments.
Therefore, and in order to ensure the gradual normalization of the operation of the network and return to the usual hourly levels of shipments, the receipts are interrupted from Monday 12.28.20 to Friday 01.01.21. We ask for your understanding in this effort, which circumstances dictate and is necessary to guarantee the best possible service ”.
