Vaccination has officially started in our country today, while after the Evangelismos ICU nurse who was the first to vaccinate in Greece, it is the turn of an elderly person.
Specifically, Michalis Giovanidis, a guest of an Elderly Unit, is the second citizen to be vaccinated today in Evangelismos amid applause.
Mr. Giovanidis de Evros, 88, was the first elderly man to receive the Pfizer vaccine, thus sending a strong message to all the elderly, but also to vulnerable groups, to make an appointment and run to the vaccination centers to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
According to the Deputy Minister of Labor, Domna Michailidou, Mr. Michalis was the first person from the Senior Care Unit to declare that he wanted to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. It happened like that!
After the vaccination, Mr. Michalis, 88 years old, even declared that he had no pain and returned to the Unit where he is staying.
“I think many people are jealous of me today”
It is observed that the first citizen to be vaccinated was Efstathia Kampisiouli, ICU nurse at the “Evangelismos” hospital, thus opening the “Libertad” program.
Ms Kampisiouli was smiling at the time of the vaccination, while even raising her thumb to the applause of those present to show that everything went well.
She is an experienced nurse as she works for several years in the Intensive Care Units and is now in charge of the head of the Evangelism ICU.
The titanic vaccination effort began in the rest of Europe
