The weather will get worse with heavy rains and thunderstorms, starting Saturday night in the west, according to an emergency bulletin from the National Weather Service (EMY). Tomorrow Sunday (12/27) the intense phenomena will spread to most of the country and on Monday (12/28) they will affect mainly the eastern island of Greece.
More specifically, the intense phenomena will affect the Ionian Islands, Epirus and western Sterea tonight. Tomorrow they will spread from morning to western Peloponnese, western Thessaly, central Sterea, Thrace, in some places in Macedonia, and gradually to the rest of mainland Greece, from afternoon to the eastern Aegean islands and at night in the Dodecanese.
Attica and the prefecture of Thessaloniki will be temporarily affected at noon on Sunday, while on Monday (12/28) the Dodecanese and until noon Thrace and the eastern Aegean islands.
Winds will blow stormy tomorrow south of 8 Beaufort in the Ionian, until early afternoon and in some parts of the Aegean starting at noon.
