An envelope containing a poem and a Gift voucher C $ 250: Many Edmonton residents were surprised to find that, to their delight, Santa Claus did not forget them this year.

TO Dec. 24 «I found in front of my door, when I woke up, a wonderful gift voucher. I cried all morning “Lee Anne McNaughton wrote on Facebook.

As reported by many Canadian media outlets, the file contained a gift voucher for Walmart stores (the amount corresponds to about 160 euros) and a poem that made reference to the hope and solidarity of the people in this difficult moment of the pandemic.

Elisa Tennad, a North Glenora district resident who lost her job due to the pandemic, said she too broke down in tears when opening the file.

«It’s so moving that someone did something like thatShe told CBC Public Television, explaining that with this amount she could buy a month’s purchases for her family.

The CBC was able to email the mysterious philanthropist and reported that those files had been sent to 400 people in this Alberta town.

«I decided to do it because I know that many people went through a very difficult year and I had the means to help them. I hope these gifts give people the feeling that the world is full of goodness and that a better future is not far away.».
