Scientists in Great Britain are facing a great discovery when testing a new drug that will offer immediate immunity against the coronavirus!
The drug was discovered by researchers at the University of London and aims to provide long-term immunity to the patient, especially in cases where it is too late for vaccination.
“If we can provide a cure that prevents the virus from attacking, then we will have a great weapon at our disposal to win the pandemic,” said Catherine Houlihan, a virologist on the University team.
The key is the AZD7442 antibody, developed by AstraZeneca, which delivers antibodies directly even to patients who have already been exposed to COVID.
The tests on the patients have begun and if all goes well, it is not ruled out that it will be launched in March!
