The Greek Police plan for the measures it will take during Christmas and New Years was analyzed by ELAS spokesman Theodoros Chronopoulos.

In terms of trafficMr. Chronopoulos indicated that it is allowed until 10:00 p.m., clarifying that movements after 10:00 p.m. and until 5:00 a.m. are only allowed for work and health reasons. For this reason, the police will pay special attention to movements after 10 p.m. and it is not ruled out that we will proceed to a traffic stop on the main roads to control everyone who moves at that time. When violations are found, a fine of 300 euros will be imposed.
Police controls will be increased, according to the ELAS spokesperson on tolls, at key points of the road network, at the entrances and exits of the city, on intercity buses and KTEL buses, in squares and where synchronization can be created.
As Nikos Hardalias pointed out on Tuesday, if the measures are not observed at Christmas, then the New Year will be stricter.
In order to strictly comply with the measures, in fact, on Wednesday morning (12.23.2020) a teleconference was held by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis. The plan to be implemented in the coming days was discussed, especially for the afternoon hours when there is a traffic ban, and the tightening of controls at each level by the competent authorities to avoid dispersion.
