Dendia’s response to Tsavousoglou: his “advice” to Turkey

Chancellor Nikos Dendias sent his reply to his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Tsavousoglu via Twitter.

It is noted that on Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Minister had invited Greece “Stop asking others for help”, addressed to Mr. Dendias.

For his part, the Greek Chancellor declared the following:

“Thank you, my dear friend Mevlüt. If we exchange wishes and advice, May 2021 will be the year that Turkey will do the following:

1. It will stop threats of war against Greece if we exercise our legal rights. We live, after all, in 21the century.

2. Aspire to be more European and less neo-Ottoman. This will be to the benefit of the Turkish people.

3. He will refrain from provocations and illicit activities “.

“By the way, Mevlüt, there is something you forgot to mention again: International Law, the only basis for a constructive dialogue on our differences, my dear friend. Happy 2021,” concludes the Foreign Minister.
