Koronovirus: the map of 901 new cases – Three digits in Attica and Thessaloniki

Triple-digit daily cases of coronavirus are still recorded today in Attica and Thessaloniki, according to the EODY report on geographic distribution.

Today, 901 new cases of the new coronavirus were announced in Greece, of which 6 were detected after checks at the country’s gateways. First comes the Attica region with 219, followed by Thessaloniki with 159.

The total number of cases is 130,485, of which 52.5% are men. Of these, 5,196 (4.0%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 38,050 (29.2%) are related to an already known case.

Currently, 534 patients are treated by intubation. Their average age is 66. 165 (30.9%) are women and the rest are men. 77.3% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 797 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 58 more registered deaths and 4,102 deaths in total in the country. Of the patients who died, 1,654 (40.3%) were women and the rest were men. The median age of death was 79 years and 95.7% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

The median age of the cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 104 years), while the average age of death is 79 years (range 25 to 103 years). The age distribution of (a) total cases, (b) cases that resulted in death, and (c) patients treated by intubation, is as follows:
