Hundreds of doses of the Pfizer vaccine believed to have been destroyed at a Northamptonshire clinic in the UK after a storage refrigerator was damaged.

A spokesperson for the clinic said: “Harborough Field Surgery would like to apologize to the elderly and vulnerable patients who delayed their vaccinations yesterday and the wait they experienced.
This vaccine poses a number of complex technical challenges and must be stored at the correct temperature before use.
“We apologize for the need to reschedule certain vaccinations and we will ensure that people are notified again as soon as possible.”
