A doctor from Volos tried to commit suicide by consuming a large number of pills.
The doctor reportedly drove to a rural area of Melissatika and took a large number of pills. At one point, around 6 in the afternoon, he informed a family member by phone and he, shocked and anxious, alerted the police and friends.
Immediately there was a great mobilization to locate him, with the participation of policemen, firefighters, volunteers from the Magnesia Special Forces Club and citizens, while an EKAB ambulance was on alert in a central area of the city.
Finally, after eager efforts, the doctor was located in Melissatika at 7.30 in the afternoon. The doctor was found alive, but he was lethargic.
The ambulance rushed to the scene, picked him up, and took him immediately to Volos Hospital and He was admitted to the Emergency Department for first aid.
