Months of negotiations, with many companies, resulted in vaccination starting in all European countries in a few days.
We all know, different numbers have been heard. Let me tell you that most of what has been heard in terms of quantities does not correspond to reality.
Why do I say this? We knew from the beginning, when negotiations began in the European Union, that the first amounts to be allocated would be very small in relation to the total amounts.
These amounts are distributed to all countries based on an algorithm, which is based on the population of each country. This ensures that all citizens of the European Union have access to the vaccine at the same time.
In fact, it should be noted that this vaccine, the vaccines that will reach our country, are financed, part of the cost is financed by the European Union. It is a great success for both our country and the European Union.
We have said from the beginning that we have been preparing for the time when vaccinations will begin. Knowing the total quantities that will gradually arrive in our country at the end of this agreement, we can make up to 2 million, we had said that, 2 million vaccines per month. This does not mean that we have 2 million vaccines at our disposal.
