Two people were injured in the large fire that occurred shortly after 8:00 ‘on Thursday night (12/17) in business with LPG cylinders on Spyrou Mela street in Kalivia, Lamia. There was a very loud explosion that lifted the entire area at their feet while starting a huge fire.
Although the immediate intervention of the Fire Service with almost all its forces, very quickly put the fire under partial control, a resurgence and a new explosion resulted in the injury of a firefighter who at that time was trying to extinguish and control the area, but also nearby business owner. As a result, a new alarm was sounded and residents were ordered to evacuate the area for fear of another major explosion. The injured were taken by ambulance to the hospital for first aid.
