Police in Florence, Italy, faced a horrifying discovery when they discovered the bodies of a couple from Albania, cut up in three suitcases!
The couple’s fingerprints had disappeared since 2015, when the family’s son was incarcerated in Solitsiano Prison. The latest report dates from November 2, 2015, with a phone call (from a secret number) to the daughter of the family in which her mother appears to tell her “that she no longer wants to have contact with anyone …”.
Italian authorities announced that investigations were carried out in several locations. The bodies of the victims were wrapped in cellophane and nylon bags, tied with duct tape and “protected” with some kind of wrapping.
First a suitcase with a man’s torso and leg was found, then only one with the woman’s lower extremities, and finally the third suitcase with her torso.
Carabinieri’s searches continue on a section of the Florence-Pisa motorway. Authorities believe that the double murder did not take place in the same place, the three suitcases were simply thrown into the reeds.
The man, according to the coroner, was killed, probably with a knife, as he has a neck wound. Official identification with the DNA method remains, although the Italian authorities consider it a “formal case”.
