The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on the afternoon of Wednesday 12/16, that the cases of coronavirus in Greece are 1190, of which 17 were identified after controls at the gates of the country.
The total number of cases is 127557, of which 52.5% are men. Of these, 5163 (4.0%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 36669 (28.7%) are related to an already known case.

As well, 552 of our fellow citizens they are treated intubated. Their average age is 67 years. 162 (29.3%) are women and the rest are men. 77.9% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 768 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
We have 85 more deaths recorded and 3,870 deaths generally in the country. 1,556 (40.2%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.6% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
From January 1, 2020 until today, in laboratories that perform tests for young people coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and those who systematically report all samples they control to EODY have a total of 2,624,305 clinical samples were analyzed while EODY Health Units and Stairs that perform Rapid Ag tests have 381,174 samples were analyzed.
