He served at the headquarters of the Special Forces. His dream is to become a monk and make the journey from Sinai to Mount Athos.
Aristides of OUK, where he was a “frog”, is now dedicated to God. The images of him walking from the old Lamia – Thessaloniki national road to reach the Sphigmenos Monastery on Mount Athos, are almost creepy. He walks alone in the rain with the image of the Virgin Mary in his hands, recalling something from a phrase by the award-winning director Giannis Smaragdis: “We all have a piece of God within us.”
As reported by LamiaNow, Aristides’s friends are anxious and looking for information about his trip. If it’s okay, if the people on the street help him, if he managed to reach the monastic state.

Friends tell LamiaNow about the former UCK man now following God:
“Aristides is a wonderful man. He grew up in a family that believed in religion. As a child he was close to God and the church. Growing up he followed the same path. Later he served in the Special Forces. OUK, frog. There he also did friends, because everyone inside him saw meekness and goodness. And a light, in his aura… Don’t be fooled by his beard and his suffering. We called him Adonis because of his appearance. Pretty boy. As beautiful as he was inside, he was outside έξω ”, say his friends, describing him with the best words.
“His dream is to become a monk. He has tried other times. His faith led him to Mount Sinai, the theobadic as it is called, where according to the biblical account, Moses received the 10 commandments. Upon returning to Athens, Aristides again visited the Mount Athos to be tested and become a monk. But he did not succeed. “Now, again, he is led to his dream and we hope that he is well and successful …”, wish his friends.
