Suspense Thriller in rose at the expense of our country with the participation of the Turkish consulate for the first time. Two people, including a high-ranking official from the Consulate on the island, are accused of informing Turkey about the positions of the Greek army in Kastelorizo during the August crisis.

Last August, when the Greek and Turkish fleets lined up opposite each other in the Aegean, and with the Oruc Reis To constantly provoke in the Greek territorial waters, the dark action of two spies against Greece was underway.

Blockage: Dead in the air, intubated – Vacations under surveillance

For the first time, a high-ranking official from the Turkish consulate in Rhodes is participating.

According to the information, he allegedly recruited a crew member from a ship that was sailing from the island to the nearby Kastelorizo. The plan was specific. They wanted to know all the details about the Greek forces above and around Megisti at all times.

The sailor had the opportunity without giving a goal to be on the island day by day. There he was instructed to learn and photograph the positions of the Greek forces.

He then sent everything to the Turkish consulate official, who in turn provided all the confidential information to Turkey, at a time when everything in the Aegean is hanging by a thread.

Reports in Ankara left a “blind spot” in the aquarium

In fact, as revealed by MEGA, the spies used a “blind” spot in the Rhodes Aquarium.

According to the report, the 35-year-old was heading to the specific location when he wanted to inform the Turks.

The reason is that at this point the Greek mobile phone companies do not have a strong signal, in contrast to the signal of a Turkish company which is stronger.

He then went online with the Turkish company and sent all the information.

The faces of spies

The first accused is a 35-year-old man who works at the Turkish consulate in Rhodes as secretary general.

He is originally from Rhodes and is married to a Greek Muslim woman who lives in Rhodes and has been on the island of knights for the last 15 years.

The second accused of espionage against Greece is 54 years old and works as a cook on the ship on which he sails to Kastelorizo.

He is also from Rodopi and told the authorities that he met the 35-year-old at a social event in Rhodes with other people from Komotini.

A search was carried out at the house of the Secretary General of the Turkish Consulate in Rhodes in the presence of a judicial official.

There, four computers and eight mobile phones were located and confiscated.

Everything will be sent to the Directorate of Criminological Investigations where valuable information will be sought for the authorities’ investigation.

The investigations involved the National Intelligence Service, the Rhodes Security and the Athens State Security, while a complaint was filed against the two men for espionage and security measures in fortified positions.

The Ankara “report” referred to:

  • Greek fleet movements
  • Arming warships
  • Movements of the armed forces to and from Kastelorizo
  • Works and purposes in Kastelorizo

EYP is looking for a possible network of other contributors who provided information to Ankara.

What they said in the apology

According to the cook, the employee of the Turkish consulate recruited him and asked him to provide information on when the guard changed in Kastellorizo, the numbers of the warships that were in the area during the summer, to take pictures and describe exactly what that have.

He also asked him, when they were military as passengers on the ship, to try to spy on their conversations and immortalize them with his cell phone.

The two men’s meetings took place in cafes in Rhodes and the cook claims that he did not receive money but that he did so because the consulate employee had convinced him that it was his duty to help the country of Turkey.

“I did nothing for the money. I only have a good cell phone to take detailed photos.” Everything I did I did for the “homeland” of Turkey, “he is said to have characteristically said.
