“The viability of the insurance system until 2070 is guaranteed by the recent insurance reform 4670/2020”, states the Minister of Labor in APE-MPE Giannis Vroutsis, who assures that retirement age limits are not established, nor are pension rights established and emphasizes that the amount of pensions is fully guaranteed.
At the same time, referring to the implementation of the timetable for the full implementation of the digital pension “ATLAS”, Mr. Vroutsis announces that the new pilot application of the digital pension “ATLAS” for health and disability pensions will start shortly.
Focusing on the main points of the new insurance law, the Minister of Labor points out the following:
“1. The recent 4670/2020 insurance reform, which for the first time was accompanied by an actuarial study by the National Actuarial Authority, confirms the viability of the system, until 2070.
Specifically:
– the amount of the pensions is fully guaranteed,
the retirement age limits are not affected, and
– mature and well established pension rights are not affected.
2. The self-employed, the self-employed and farmers, each year freely choose the category of insurance they want, since their income has been decoupled from insurance contributions.
3. The insurance policy cultivates insurance awareness, as it becomes compensatory for policyholders who have 30 years or more of working life.
4. The calendar for the full implementation of Law 4670/2020 began on March 1, 2020 and ends on December 31, 2021.
5. In the period between March 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021:
to. all pending retroactive pensions will be closed,
second. in 45,000 cases the funeral expenses due and
C. There will be a complete digitization of the most important functions of the National Electronic Social Security Agency (e-EFKA) for a quick service of all the insured.
6. Transparency is improved, since the monthly “HELIOS” report that maps the insurance system and the “ATLAS” report that records monthly arrears, applications and pension awards, will be published by law every month.
7. We will effectively address the decades-long pathogenesis for the first time as, by the end of 2021, we will attempt to award all outstanding major pensions.
8. The reform of the “ATLAS” digital pension, which began in April 2020, is implemented with precision and on a specific schedule, following four stages. The first stage regarding widow’s pensions and farmers’ pensions has already been implemented. In a few days, the new pilot application of the digital pension “ATLAS” for health and disability pensions begins and will be completed in March 2021. In September 2021, officials, private parties and engineers will follow and the reform will be completed at the end of 2021 with a lawyer, journalists and freelancers.
9. In the first four months of 2021, new pensions will be granted that will be increased with the new replacement rates together with their retroactivity for those who have completed 30 years and more of working life.
10. In the first four months of 2021, 70% of your pension will be paid to working retirees ”.
