George Clooney had to be admitted to the hospital after losing about 11 kilos for the needs of his role in the movie “Midnight Sky.”
“I think I was trying really hard to lose weight fast and I probably didn’t take care of myself.”the 59-year-old actor said, according to the Daily Mail.
“It took me a few weeks to recover and as a director it’s not that easy because you need energy.” Clooney told The Daily Mirror.
The Hollywood star was diagnosed with pancreatitis but he recovered very quickly and was discharged after four days.
However, losing weight was not the only change the successful actor made for the role. “I grew a big ugly beard and my son liked it because it hid things in it.” revealed the actor.
“But my wife and daughter were very happy when I cut it because it was very difficult to find a person in the middle of all this chaos.”Clooney stressed.

Midnight Sky is based on the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton and also stars Felicity Jones and David Oyelowo.
