The police authorities imposed a fine of 3,000 euros and a 15-day suspension of the operation of a grill in a town near Skydra in Pella for violating the measures against the coronavirus.

Authorities are conducting intensive inspections across the country to implement measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Two customers were found sitting on the grill and fined 300 euros each.

Yesterday, Tuesday, 51,042 inspections were carried out throughout the country, of which 4,880 at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

A total of 1,770 violations were confirmed and 3 people were arrested, as follows:

(1,368) Traffic restriction violations and fines for the same amount of € 300 were imposed, as follows:

(402) in Attica,

(165) in Thessaloniki,

(117) in central Greece,

(109) in Central Macedonia,

(99) in East Macedonia and Thrace,

(95) in Thessaly,

(93) in Western Greece,

(77) in Crete,

or (58) in Epirus,

or (46) in the North Aegean,

or (37) in the Peloponnese,

(32) in West Macedonia,

(22) in the Ionian Islands and

(16) in the southern Aegean.

Since the measure’s entry into force on November 7, a total of 37,975 similar violations have been confirmed.

• (397) for not wearing the mask – failure to comply with the prescribed distance, etc. and (366) fines of 300 euros and (31) 150 euros were imposed, as follows:

or (107) in Attica,

or (40) in Western Greece,

or (37) in Thessaloniki,

or (34) in Crete,

or (33) in Central Macedonia,

or (30) in the North Aegean,

or (28) in central Greece,

or (21) in the Ionian Islands,

or (18) in West Macedonia,

or (17) in East Macedonia and Thrace,

or (17) in Thessaly,

or (7) in Epirus,

or (5) in the Peloponnese and

or (3) in the southern Aegean.

Since the new measures came into force on November 7, a total of 16,544 similar offenses have been confirmed and 15,538 administrative fines of 300 euros and 1,006 of 150 euros have been imposed.

-5 infractions and 3 arrests for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. Violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, no use of mask, percentage of square meter per person, etc.).

In the previous cases, the following administrative fines were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. Related violations of the relevant provisions:

-In Attica, 5,000 euros and 15 days of suspension of operation in a cafe,

-with Western Greece, suspension of operation for 3000 and 15 days in a retail store (sale of unauthorized items),

-In the Ionian Islands, 5,000 euros and a 15-day suspension of operation in a retail store (sale of unauthorized items),

-in Crete, 5,000 euros in a coffee and

-In Central Macedonia, 3,000 and 15 days of suspension of operation in a grill.

In other cases, fines related to infractions of the relevant legislation (unnecessary movement, non-use of a mask, etc.)

Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7), a total of 351 similar violations have been confirmed and (357) people have been arrested.

The inspections continue without diminishing the intensity for the protection of public health.
