The decision of the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, was published in the Official Gazette, imposing maximum selling price limits for the real-time molecular screening test with the real-time molecular screening test and for the screening test of coronavirus antigens with the corona test method (Rapid Test).
As mentioned in the decision, in order to avoid exploitation and other illegal commercial practices, the following price caps are established, not including Value Added Tax (VAT), for the following:
1) For the SARS-CoV-2 corvovirus detection test by the real-time molecular control method – PCR, a) as a maximum service charge (sample analysis, etc.), the amount of 40 euros and b) as Maximum charge price for sampling in private diagnostic laboratories and private clinics, the amount of 20 euros.
2) For the detection test of the SARS-CoV-2 corvovirus antigen by the Rapid Test method, a) as a limit of service charge (analysis, etc.) in private diagnostic laboratories, private clinics and the other point of sale for an amount of 10 euros and b) as a maximum charge, sampling price, in private diagnostic laboratories and private clinics the amount of 10 euros.
3) The maximum values provided in the previous paragraphs do not apply in the case that the sampling is carried out outside of private diagnostic laboratories and private clinics, so its price is freely adjusted.
4) The companies that offer the above services and goods must publish in a price list visible to the public and on their websites, a price list with the previous maximum prices.
5) In case of non-compliance, an administrative fine of 5,000 euros is imposed.
