In late September, infectious disease specialist Elias Skopelitis, a doctor at the Nice hospital, passed to the other side of the bed and was treated as a Covid-19 patient, alone, in the same hospital where he fought to save the life of coronavirus patients.

Elias Skopelitis is one of the doctors who made up the Covid-19 unit that was created at the Nikaia hospital in early September. This is a small unit that was made with minimal infrastructure. According to him, he got infected in the hospital.
“I looked at myself in the mirror and didn’t recognize me, thin, pale.”
It’s a virus that can infect anyone, regardless of age, and shouldn’t be looked down upon by anyone, says Skopelitis, who returned to work after a two-month affair.
