The family of the unfortunate Greek dentist who lost his life with their eight-week-old daughter in the city of Trier, Germany, is in shock, informs APE-MPE when a car whose driver was under the influence of alcohol fell on them.

The family also thanked the German authorities for acting “in an exemplary manner”, the medical and nursing staff at Trier Hospital where the family was treated, with the mother and child returning home. He also thanked the Hellenes of Trier and Luxembourg “who turned to our pain” and “to all journalists in our country for the great interest they showed in this difficult time.”
A total of five people died and 15 others were injured in the Trier tragedy. According to the police, the driver, of German origin, was under the influence of alcohol when he fell into the crowd.
