The assistant professor of the EKPA Faculty of Medicine and member of the Expert Committee, Gikas Majorkinis, appealed to the attention of citizens during the briefing on the course of the coronary pandemic in Greece.

“It takes extreme care,” he said.

Mr. Majorkinis explained that Attica showed a reduction in the number of diagnoses by 30%, while for Thessaloniki the corresponding percentage was of the order of 20%.

“The decline in urban centers is clearly more noticeable compared to the rest of Greece.” Rt fell below unity in Attica and Thessaloniki, “noted Mr. Majorkinis, who was quick to clarify that Rt is different from viral load in these two cities.

At the same time, he estimated that active cases amount to what they were at the beginning of November.

“Follow the rules, wear masks and avoid meeting people you are not with every day,” he concluded.
