EODY announced today 1,044 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 9 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 105,271, of which 53% are men.
4,888 (4.6%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 28,075 (26.7%) are related to an already known case.
Of the 1044 new cases 255 were located in the Attica region, 213 in the Thessaloniki region and 49 in the Larissa region.
600 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 65. 161 (26.8%) are women and the rest are men. 75.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 581 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 85 more registered deaths and 2,406 deaths in total in the country, 978 (40.6%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 80 years and 96.6% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
