Internet service has been working for a few years. “Search for basic information on the commercial register” of the Independent Public Revenue Authority.
The service is located on the AADE website (in the “Business Services” – “Tax Services” section).
“We inform you that the basic registration data of the AFM You have been searched through the key registration information of the Internet service for legal entities, legal entities and individuals with business income. This service does not return items of income or other types of goods, only basic registration items, for example, those that appear in your document.
If you have received this email from TAXIS then someone has looked up your TIN data.
According to the AADE, when using the service, legal persons, legal persons and natural persons with income from business activity can search for basic information to verify the tax or professional status of other legal entities or legal persons or taxpayers / natural persons engaged in business activity.
The objective is to protect taxpayers and secure transactions by combating the issuance of false and fictitious data by non-existent tax persons.
It is a substantial update of a similar pre-existing service that consists of updating the conditions of use and enriching it with new functionalities, such as the VAT regime and the history view, as well as including answers to frequently asked questions to help users.
It is clarified that the internet service provides information only for basic registration data and not income data or other types of financial assets or companies.
In particular, the data retrieved from the service are:
- VALUE ADDED NUMBER.
- Tax code and description
- Indication of whether it is a natural person or a non-natural person
- Indication if AFM is on or off
- Indication if you are a trader, non-trader or former trader
- Company name
- Company title
- Description of the Legal Entity / Legal Entity form
- Address of the commercial headquarters (street, number, postal code – area)
- Start date and commercial end date
- Business activities
- Indication of the normal VAT regime
In the event that there is a Cessation of Operations of the Company and the date
the interruption is greater than three years from the time of the search, the service
does not return data: start date, stop date, distinctive title
business address, registered office, postal code, activities and indication of normal status
