MINISTRY OF DIGITAL GOVERNMENT
Finally, sending tax information to e-EFKA and other public bodies
Citizens and Public Administration are freed from an important bureaucratic burden, since as of today e-EFKA begins to use interoperability for the automatic reception of tax information for the payment of citizens and companies that provide services and products. In this way, natural and legal persons stop sending tax information to pay, since the process is automatic.
E-EFKA, the largest insurance organization in the country, gains access to the interconnection of public bodies with the information systems of the Independent Public Revenue Authority. Only in the case of this body, in the last year more than 10,000 tax notices were issued and presented by taxpayers, either in physical or electronic form.
The interconnection is implemented through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Information Systems of the Public Administration of the Ministry of Digital Government. At the same time, the use of specific interoperability begins with ERGOSE SA, the Xanthi General Hospital and the Municipality of Volos. The Greek Parliament was the first public body to use this service through the Interoperability Center. KEDE continued, so the presentation of tax information to the municipalities of the country is not necessary.
To date, more than 110 public bodies have submitted applications for membership. Currently, this interoperability is in pilot or production mode in more than 50% of the operators.
The General Secretariat of Information Systems of the Public Administration of the Ministry of Digital Government invites all public bodies to use the interoperability service of tax information, in order to benefit thousands of natural and legal persons, but also the own organisms.
