The president-elect of the USA Joe biden revealed his options for some more new faces that will be his cabinet staff, but also other important positions for the country’s foreign policy and national security.
THE of Cuban origin Alejandro Mallorca, former undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, designated as Minister of the Interior. Mallorca will take over the reorganization of the ministry, which has implemented some of the toughest immigration policies pursued by the Trump administration, such as the separation of families on the US-Mexico border.
At the same time, Biden chose Avril Hines, former senior CIA official and deputy national security adviser, as Chief of US Intelligence. Will be the First woman who will lead this charge, if it is ratified by the Senate.
In addition, the Linda Thomas-Greenfield will be the United States Ambassador to the United Nations Y Jake sullivan will enter the White House as national security advisor of Biden.

These options reflect Biden’s desire to build a diverse cabinet with public policy experts and extensive experience in governance.

In a statement, Biden described the options as “the essence” of a team tasked with confirmation of US leadership on the world stage.
“These people have the same experience and crisis experience, as well as innovative and imaginative,” said Biden.
“Their accomplishments in diplomacy are unmatched, but they also reflect the idea that we cannot meet the deep challenges of this new moment with old thoughts and unchanging habits, or without a different background and perspective. That’s why I chose them.”
