Albanian farm workers tested positive for coronavirus rapid tests in Kakavia

the Quick test, made since yesterday by ΕΟΔΥ, at the border station with Albania in Kakavia – it is the only one that works – they have been identified by land workers or other Albanian citizens, who are trying to cross the country, with the false label “negative”, in the required molecular test with which they are equipped.

Two Albanian buses, with approximately 50 land workers, returned to Albania, as the rapid test showed some of the passengers positive, although the tests they showed were negative. Albanians who declare themselves as land laborers, have a destination in various parts of Greece, from Pella to Agrinio, Sparta or Sitia.

Until November 20 in Kakkavia, EODY did a molecular test to those who entered Greece. However, there was no immediate possibility to examine whether the “negative” result of the Albanian documents was true.

It should be noted that the tests supplied by the Albanians come from certified laboratories, have a barcode, so its authenticity is examined, but there is a doubt in the declared result. Furthermore, no one knows if those who enter the country observe the 7 day quarantine, according to the EODY protocol.
