- Based on studies prepared or approved by the competent Technical Services of the Local Self-Government Organizations and by decision of the respective Regional, Municipal or Community Council, speed limits may be determined and modified on roads whose supervision and maintenance must be lower than the ceilings provided for in this article.
- Especially for highways, expressways and the main national road network, as defined with the relevant decisions of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, the speed limits, except the maximum permitted limits, provided for in this article, are determined and modified after a study and only by decision of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport. The decisions in accordance with the previous and this paragraph take effect from the placement of the corresponding signs in the previous streets.

- The speed control of road vehicles can be carried out by the competent police authorities and with special devices. By joint decision of of the Ministers of Civil Protection and Infrastructure and Transport determine the technical specifications of these special devices as well as any other detail necessary for the application of this provision.
- Anyone who exceeds the maximum speed limit up to 20 km / h will be imposed an administrative fine of forty (40.00) euros. For exceeding the maximum speed limit of more than 20 km / h, an administrative fine of one hundred (100.00) euros is imposed. To exceed the speed limit greater than 30 km / h, as well as for vehicles on roads with a speed greater than 150 km / h, on motorways with a speed greater than 130 km / h and on the rest of the road network with a speed over 120 km / h, an administrative fine of three hundred and fifty (350.00) euros is imposed and the driver’s license is withdrawn in situ from the person who proves the violation, for sixty (60) days, in accordance with the conditions and procedure of article 103 of this. Anyone who drives with a speed lower than the minimum speed limit allowed and who does not comply with the provisions of section 9, will be imposed an administrative fine of eighty (80.00) euros.
- Whoever puts into circulation and drives a vehicle without being equipped with the devices provided for in numeral 10 of this article, as well as whoever does not place the sheet or other recording system of the tachograph, will be sanctioned with an administrative fine of seven hundred (700, 00 ) euros, as well as immediately withdraw the driver’s license for thirty (30) days, in accordance with the conditions and procedure of article 103 of this Code. The same administrative sanctions are imposed on anyone who acts in any way on the mechanism of the previous device, in order to make it inactive or alter the registered indications and in the event that the driver challenges the violation, the vehicle is transferred, accompanied by a police officer, to perform an audit service of the corresponding Regional Government.
- Whoever drives a motor vehicle with equipment for locating speed measurement devices without having a legal license for this equipment, as well as who drives a motor vehicle with equipment for speedometer blocking, will be sanctioned with an administrative fine of two thousand (2,000 , 00) euros, with on-site withdrawal of the driver’s license for thirty (30) days and on-site withdrawal of the vehicle’s registration data for sixty (60) days, in accordance with the conditions and procedure of article 103 of this Code.
Especially for the EPIO.:
a) who leads Ε.Π.Η.Ο. In contravention of circumstance a ‘of section 5A, an administrative fine of forty (40.00) euros is sanctioned and an administrative fine of one hundred (100.00) euros is imposed on whoever puts it into circulation.
b) who leads Ε.Π.Η.Ο. and exceeds 35 km / h and whoever puts it on the market is sanctioned with an administrative fine of one hundred (100) and two hundred (200) euros, respectively.
c) who leads Ε.Π.Η.Ο. in violation of circumstance b ‘of paragraph 5A will be sanctioned with an administrative fine of eighty (80.00) euros. “
