The JMC for the 400 euros to the long-term unemployed-Beneficiaries and the process

The Joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) for the granting of a single economic aid, amounting to 400 euros, which affects some 130,000 long-term unemployed citizens who do not receive regular unemployment benefits, is signed today by the Ministry of Labor and Affairs Social, in collaboration with the ministry. Finance, in immediate implementation of the Prime Minister’s recent commitment.

“Consistently and responsibly, the government is proceeding with further financial support for 130,000 of our long-term unemployed fellow citizens, until the end of November, from the Organization for Labor Employment (OAED),” said the Minister of Labor. Giannis Vroutsis.

Specifically, the OAED budget for this extraordinary aid is estimated at 52 million euros.

In the next few days the special electronic platform of OAED will be opened and the beneficiaries will register or update their bank account number (IBAN), in order to automatically pay the extraordinary aid of 400 euros, as was done in the payment April- May 2020.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs wants this payment to be made as soon as possible and by the end of this month.

What is provided according to the JMC:

Article 1

One-time financial assistance for any unsubsidized long-term unemployed

The granting by OAED of a one-time financial aid of four hundred euros (€ 400.00) is approved to each unsubsidized long-term unemployed person, registered in the OAED unemployment register, who acquires the status of long-term unemployed from 1/3/2020 until its publication of this, except for those who received their sole financial support with the house no. 5687/282 / 16-4-2020 of the joint ministerial decision (Β ‘1468).

Article 2

Financial aid payment procedure

1. The payment of the financial aid of article 1 is made by the OAED prior approval by the Board of the Organization, after domiciliary verification in the list of unemployed and pertinent suggestion of the competent Directorates,
2. The local control of OAED determines the following data for each beneficiary:

a) The maintenance of long-term unemployed status at the time of publication of this,
b) name, patronymic and patronymic;
c) the number of a police identification card or passport.
d) the social security registration number (AMKA),
e) the tax registration number (TIN),
(f) the individual or joint bank account number, as well as the international bank account number (IBAN).
3. The beneficiaries must update the above information on the OAED electronic platform within a period to be determined by the OAED.
5. Payment of the lump sum financial aid ends on 12/31/2020.

Article 3

Improperly paid

Any amount unduly paid is charged to the detriment of the recipient, by decision of the OAED Board and collected in accordance with the provisions of KEDE.
