e-EFKA: Electronic reimbursement to 172,222 heirs of deceased retirees

The new electronic service, created by the administration of National Electronic Social Security Agency (e-EFKA), in collaboration with the direction of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, where the reductions for the period June 2015-May 2016 will be returned to the heir beneficiaries of deceased pensioners through an automated procedure (Government Gazette B 4536/14/10/2020).

According to the Minister of Labor Giannis Vroutsis, the rebate will be returned to 172,222 heirs of deceased pensioners electronics, through the special e-EFKA platform, until the end of December.

In particular, the heirs of pensioners will present on the e-EFKA website (www.efka.gov.gr) or in the single digital portal of the State (https: //www.gov.gram/ipiresies/oikogeneia/apoleia) the data and certificates required for the return of the amounts to which they are entitled according to their inheritance law.
The online service submission process is done at two stages:

A. In the first stage, All adult beneficiaries (the application for minor heirs is presented by their legal guardian) must electronically submit the application / responsible declaration with all the necessary information, before 12/17/2020. If you have the requested certificates, you attach them at the same time to your application.

Β. In the second stage, if you don’t have the required certificates, you should, until 2/28/2021, to return to service and attach them to the application / responsible statement.

According to a relevant announcement from the Ministry of Labor, in the context of the simplification of the procedures, the beneficiaries / heirs now have the possibility of obtaining electronically, without delay, the supporting documents requested, based on the inheritance law by the state digital portal www.gov.gram.
In particular, the heirs must attach the following certificates:

  • Certificate of non-renunciation of inheritance.
  • Certificate of non-publication of will.
  • Certificate of closest relatives.
