The anarchist collective “Rubicon” intervened at Alexia Evert’s house in Mets on the occasion of calling the KKE protesters celebrating the anniversary of the Polytechnic “rodents and cockroaches”.

It is recalled that following the uproar caused by this comment, the Mayor of Athens, Costas Bakogiannis, demanded the resignation of Ms Evert from the post of Deputy Mayor of the municipality.

The members of “Rubicón” aired an announcement and hung a photo of the slogan they wrote on the wall of their house.

“Rodents and cockroaches are you and your cousin,” said the motto written by Rubicon.

In its announcement, the anarchist collective affirms, among other things:

“Just 2 days ago it was the anniversary of the Polytechnic and of course the left and one / a space tried to pay homage to historical memory.

It is possible that many people have faced rampant police violence, ended up in a police station or detention center and in the afternoon of the same day they had to confront the “lady” Alexia Evert who through her infamous comment on social networks shook them finger. who in the midst of a pandemic decided to honor the memory of the struggle by defying the countless repressive forces that flooded the center of Athens and beyond. Specifically, the “lady” in question described the KKE protesters as “cockroaches and rodents.”

The deputy mayor of Social Solidarity said that protesting taking all necessary protection measures, since the protesters also kept their distance and wore masks, unlike the police forces, makes it a nasty parasite of society that needs to be exterminated. “For the good of all of us.”

In their statement they conclude: “The parasites of this society are not us, they are not those who fight and fight for life and freedom, they are all those who decide for us without us, each Evert and each Bakoyannis. Of course, Bakoyannis can say that Alexia Evert resigned and thus the problem got out of his hands, however, the statements and worse still, I think they stay. However, this does not mean that they will be tolerated, especially in view of the state’s management of the pandemic ”.
