Specifically, Vassilis Kikilias transmitted a message from the professor of infectious diseases, Mr. Sotiris Tsiodras to the Greeks during today’s briefing on the vaccination coverage plan in our country.
Tsiodras sounded the alarm for all of northern Greece and more for 8 prefectures.
“The teacher, Mr. Tsiodras sent me the positivity indicators by region (per 100,000 inhabitants. All of northern Greece is essentially in the red. Mr. Tsiodras asked me to especially emphasize Grevena, Pella, Drama, Pieria, Larissa, Florina, Halkidiki and Evros, “said Mr. Kikilias.
How will vaccination be carried out in Greece?
Vaccination will take place in 1,018 points throughout Greece, by appointment and with the highest priority health and vulnerable groups.
30% of vaccinations will be carried out in Health Centers, in order to decongest the situation in hospitals, while it is estimated that 2 / 117,440 citizens will be vaccinated per month, in two shifts, six days a week (except for Sunday).
It is recalled that the EU has negotiated with six companies, namely Astrazeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi GSK, BionTech-Pfizer, Curevac and Moderna. He has signed with all four.
