E-learning in primary education: Parents across the country protest online – Politics

The process of modern distance education for primary and kindergarten children began today with problems. Parents across the country are complaining that they cannot connect, that the system is down, or that problems are occurring in many areas (Attica, Thessaloniki, Crete) during the process.

The problems had appeared since last week, during which only secondary schools and lyceums operated with distance education.

For primary schools, the daily schedule will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and for kindergarten from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., while each lesson hour will last 30 minutes and there will be a break between classes ten minutes.

Unfortunately, there are many complaints from parents about difficulties or inability to connect.

One parent wrote instead of summarizing the big picture: “A constantly hanging platform, children who are sleepy at around 2pm have learned to relax from school after lunch and not start a lesson, a constant chaos of voices falling on each other when microphones are open as they please the 6-year-olds to talk to their friends and teachers so trapped, to fight for the best in an uncomfortable and completely uneducated pattern ”.

In many cases there is no sound, in others the connection is not successful, or after a while the system “pulls” those who managed to connect.
